Thanks NYWhiz!

How about Barney%26#39;s?

I%26#39;m google mapping downtown new york and plotting your great suggestions.

Are you a guy or a girl?

So I can ask you about shopping questions as well - hehe

Barney%26#39;s is not far from Bloomies so many of those (especially Plaza Athenee, Lowell, Regency) would also be good. Do you realize google maps has a ';search nearby'; function that would allow you to plot hotels near any store? There are some very nice but pricey places around Barney%26#39;s including the Pierre, Four Seasons.. Helmsley Carlton House might be a nice option. They have suites for families. Decor is VERY dated but it%26#39;s a nice elegant place on Park Ave.

I think the Affinia Gardens would be your best bet though. New, fresh, suites with kitchens, you can get a separate bedroom/living room or they even have 2 bedroom suites I think. I%26#39;m female.

I just love to window shop. Although I usually bring home 2 designer bags.

And the closer I am to a lot of places the better because it%26#39;s really different when you get to feel the merchandise on your list.

Thanks very much. I hope the hotel is well within our budget.

Thanks again!!!!

Madison Ave. makes for great window shopping (from Barney%26#39;s at 61 st. all the way up to the 90%26#39;s) and also great people watching.
