Can anyone help on where to stay advice? Oceanside Beach Resort, Ocean Resort Inn, Ocean Surf, Ocean Beach?

Kath- Try Royal Atlantic- Keep in mind ALL Montaul Hotels are pretty run down...still fun anyway...

Keep in mind tastes vary but having been in Montauk a lot over the last few years and stayed just about everywhere i can offer some sounds advice.

Ocean Resort Inn - Very nice. One Row(barely a block) behind the oceanfront beach hotels so accessibility to the ocean is great. No pool though. Very nice woman Ginny runs it and some rooms have jacuzzis. She provides chairs and stuff for beach. very much in the center of town.

Oceanside beach resort - Has been updated and very nice. Just at the western tip of town but certainly in walking distance to everything and has a nice beach beyond the dune.

Ocean Surf - Again great location, beachfront right in the thick of town and the rooms and ammenities are quite similar to those mentioned above.

Ocean Beach - Never actually stayed there but its probably pretty simlar to the rest.

Id go with either of the first two myself but they are all good choices for great beach access and very close to all in town.

i have been to montauk a few times and understand about the run down motel like conditions. I have opted for Ocean Surf. Im sure it will be a good weekend anyhow! thanks everyone
