Firstly, thanks to the people who recommended Schiller%26#39;s on Rivington - we loved it!

It looks an interesting building and we wondered what the building used to be before it was a bar - anybody any idea?

Yep, it%26#39;s true. Sure, it used to be a candy store or a laundromat or something, but did not have ANY of the cool and interesting fixtures you saw there.

The fixtures are either rescued from other demolition sites, bought from salvage dealers, or fabricated to look old.

Pretty ingenious, eh? Glad you enjoyed it!
