Where to Stay between Niagra and Toronto

We are traveling this weekend to both Niagra Falls and Toronto. I think we will stay one night in the Niagra area or perhaps start the journey to Toronto. Any recommendations. Two adults one toddler.

Where to Stay between Niagra and Toronto

Toronto is only a 1 1/2 hour drive from Niagara Falls, around Lake Ontario. From Niagara Falls to Hamilton is the fruit and wine belt of Ontario. Niagara on the Lake would be a slight detour, but well worth it. It is a small, historic town that is home to the Shaw Festival Theaters, Fort George, many shops, restaurants and pubs, and dozens of wineries. http://www.niagaraonthelake.com/

From Hamilton to Toronto is constant cities (Burlington, Oakville, Mississauga, Toronto) with many places to stay along the highway, if you choose.
