Kids in NYC bars

We plan to travel to NYC next year for a birthday celebration.

Our family party will range in age from 13 years old to 65 years old.

What is the situation regarding young teenagers in bars ? Will they be allowed in during the evenings ?

Obviously this is pretty important since the adults will want to unwind in the evening.

They will be allowed in pubs that sell a lot of food, in locations where food is served, during hours that food is served.

Bars and nightclubs (as opposed to pubs) typically set up bouncers outside who check IDs and will not let anyone in under 21. Use common sense; if the place seems to sell dinner, it will probably accept families, but if it is a bar that only does drinks and a few snacks to go with the drinks, it will not.

Your best bet is one of our many Irish pubs; they%26#39;re pretty much everywhere in the city.
