Thanksgiving day

Hi there

I would like to catch the Macy%26#39;s parade on 27th November and have planned to stay in NYC during this period for 3 days. Besides the parade I%26#39;m also thinking of visiting some of the places such as ESB, TOTR, etc. However it just occured to me that these places may be closed. Will these tourist places be closed?

How about shopping malls are they open on Thanksgiving Day?

Thanksgiving day

Although many sites and almost all stores will be closed on Thanksgiving day itself, the rest of the weekend is normal and then some....everything will be open and crowded; also do remember that this is New York City and we are not known for ';shopping malls';....we have a few but that is not what shopping is about here
