We are starting to plan two short stays in NYC. We are actually holidaying in Grand Cayman but have saved nearly $4000 by flying via NYC, so thought we would take advantage and have a stopover. 36 hours on the way out and 24 hours on the way back. We are arriving on 10th July and so will probably be posting a few questions over the next few weeks. I have already been lurking on this forum for a few days.
First question is: we want to see Spamalot, if at all possible, on the night of 11th July (which is a Friday). Do we have a good chance of getting tickets from the South Seaport Ticket Booth (we are stopping there on our half day tour) or is this show so popular we need to pay full price before we come?
We booked the NY Party Shuttle Tour for the morning of 11th after reading some good things about it on this forum, only to find it slammed by another poster this morning. Isn%26#39;t that always the way with Tripadvisor;-)
Chances of Spamalot Tickets
You don%26#39;t need to pay full price before you come, but I wouldn%26#39;t waste your time lining up at TKTS either. Keep an eye on this site:

The current discount expires in June, but there should be another one soon. Spamalot is usually discounted.
And to check what has been at the TKTS booth in the past few days, you can use this site:

I think the NY Party Shuttle will be very good for you, given your limited time in New York. Lots of people love it, don%26#39;t worry too much about 1 negative review. Each to their own.
Chances of Spamalot Tickets
Agree completely with kateoz. Try to buy Spamalot in advance with discount code OR print out the discount and take it directly to the box office (no guarantees that way though).
