Thought I wouldn%26#39;t revisit hotel choices, but saw great rate at the Millennium, the rate would be a total of $90 more than the Affinia. Superior 2/twin room at the Millenium or studio 2/full at Affinia. Picked the Affinia for the location to Penn station since we (daughter and self) will be taking early morning train to Saratoga Springs on Sunday 6/22.
We arrive 6/18 and have tickets to ballet and 2 broadway shows. Are both hotels within walking distance from theaters? Is one a better walk at 11 PM after the shows let out? Affinia hotel told me they were within walking distance, but looks a lot farther on a map. We would like to be able to walk back to hotel after sitting for a few hours in a show, but want to make sure we can get to Penn station in timely manner (by 7:30am) on Sunday. Would it be pretty easy to get a cab that early on Sunday from Millennium to Penn station?
Which hotel would you choose?
Would the Millennium be the better choice?
Millennium Broadway or Affinia Manhattan?
The Millenium Broadway is a lot closer to the Broadway theaters, somewhat closer to Lincoln Center but not as close to Penn station. I would prefer the Millenium area and would take a taxi to Penn station on Sun. morning. Neither is a bad choice. ;)
Millennium Broadway or Affinia Manhattan?
I have stayed at the millenium broadway several times and can recommended it%26#39;s close to everything and the rooms are great, usually they have great deals thru travelzoo.
I just booked the Millenium Broadway through Travelzoo for $189 a night. I wanted the Affinia, but who can argue with $189 a night?
I know! I ended up booking the travelzoo special as well. The Wednesday night rate pushed up the grand total, but it is still a great deal. Haven%26#39;t canceled the Affinia yet, but am leaning towards the location of the Millennium.
