As you may have guessed from my other requests, there are a group of 7 traveling to New york, and I am just looking at the options to get from JFK to Affinia Manhattan.

If we got a taxi I think we would need 3, which would cost around $180, so just seeing what other options are out there.

For a group of 7, you should be able to manage in 2 taxis which would be $60 x 2 or $120 all in for comparison purposes. Strussers has a stretch limo for 10 but doesn%26#39;t post rates for it on the website. If you want something fancy, I%26#39;d check that.

I wouldn%26#39;t bother using dial7 or carmel for a group of 7. They%26#39;ll send a minivan and charge a lot. Either get 2 OFFICIAL yellow taxis (and one should be a minivan which won%26#39;t cost extra) or get a nice stretch.

I%26#39;ve used ';Strusser%26#39;s'; a couple of times and have been very happy. Using them again this weekend for roundtrip transportation from Newark Airport to mid-town Manhattan.

I called my hotel and they referred me to Accord Limo Service, which is probably who I will use at least one way. I was leery at first but I found that they have a listing in the phone book and a fleet of a dozen or so cars. So I think I%26#39;ll go for it. They don%26#39;t have my CC number so if worse comes to worse and the limo isn%26#39;t there to pick us up, we%26#39;ll hop a YELLOW cab to the hotel for $60.

Speaking of yellow cabs, why are the impostors not yellow? Is it illegal for them to be yellow? If what they are doing is illegal anyway, why abide by the ';yellow'; rule?

I should add that the limousine fare from JFK to my hotel near 7th Ave. %26amp; 55th St. is $90 (including parking and tolls) plus tip. Not sure if it%26#39;s a negotiated rate through the hotel or just a small operation with not as much overhead or what.

Have a look on the affina website, Im staying there at christmas and noticed the other day they do a car service (you have to log in first to be able to see the page of options) also another poster the other day said they had stayed at another of the affinia hotels and had used their car service and said it was really good as they were waiting for you as you came out so saved having to hang around or phone someone. I cant remember the prices but know they did the stretch limos
