NYC Apartment Site - Scammers??

Hi, This is my first post here and this new year will be my second trip to Manhattan. 6 of us are coming across from Scotland and currently looking for apartments.

I have found this one here which seems too good to be true and now im worried its a scam - http://www.fusedworld.com/?27188

Price seems WAY cheap and on the property shark website the address is coming up as an office block (i think - the site is confusing)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Eddie

NYC Apartment Site - Scammers??

Uh...yes, that%26#39;s a scam. Do you know how large 19,000 square feet is? The average Manhattan apartment is around 800 square feet, and the number with indoor pools, shared or no, is regrettably quite small.

Vacation apartment rentals are not common in New York. Many are scams and most are illegal rentals. You can read all about it on this page on vacation apartments from the FAQ:

Get a suite in a suite hotel. Forget about an apartment. Won%26#39;t happen.

19,000 square feet for$250 a night in NYC??? A scam, you think. Of course it is a scam. This is laughable ludicrous.

Looks like somebody stole some photos from a magazine and uploaded them.

That is so hilariously over the top that anybody would be an idiot to believe it is for real.

Some suites at the Waldorf Astoria go for $10,000/night. And you think you%26#39;re going to get that apartment for $250/night ????

The average (accommodates two people) hotel room in New York City is over $300 per night. If you had a three bedroom, three bath apartment in Manhattan, would you charge only $250 per night? Of course not.

I am, however, curious as to why you are nervous: have you wired money to reserve this apartment? I certainly hope not.

When, exactly, are you coming to visit, and what is your budget? How much are you planning to spend per night? And please don%26#39;t say $200!

Hi NYC regulars: Any chance xpfloyd (or Eddie) is a troll? Funny that this is his first post...and the property is so obviously fake. Unique way to advertise a bogus property, don%26#39;t you think?

Fussyguest--I am with you. It is a troll. I looked at the pics--and I have seen them before. Someone else posted a link to this fantasy apartment.

If this apartment is real I%26#39;ll take it to live in, 19,000 SF is huge, this is about 20X times an average apt here, and about 10 X a normal house. Info about subway nearby is incorrect. Price is way too low for that amount of space, few apartments in nyc would include a parking place, etc, etc, etc

I think the o.p. is a troll and his post probably should be removed.

I%26#39;m with fussyguest - am notifying TA.........
