Blue Man Group - Student Rush Question

My 14 year old son and I want to see Blue Man Group. We are thinking Sunday, preferably the 8 PM show, but we are open to the 5 PM show (June 8th). We don%26#39;t arrive into NYC until Saturday, June 7.

Would Student Rush tickets be available for either of these two shows? These rush tickets are $25, and the web site says one person with student ID, my son, can buy two. This would save a lot over the $68-$78 ticket price.

Should we buy them in the morning??

Please advise. Thanks!!

Here is the policy I see which indicates only your son would be entitled to the rush ticket/price. Since they are now also selling student rush on Mon. for the week, I%26#39;d guess finding some for Sun. might be difficult.

Student Rush Policy

Blue Man Group at the Astor Place Theatre has $29 student rush tickets available for all shows except the Friday and Saturday 7pm performances.

-Tickets are available at the Box Office one hour before show time.

-Each ticket buyer must have a valid student ID.

-One ticket is available per ID.

-All student rush tickets are subject to availability.

Advanced Student Rush Policy

Blue Man Group at the Astor Place Theatre has $29 advanced student rush tickets available. Starting on Monday, students can buy tickets for that week鈥檚 show. Advance rush tickets are strictly based on availability and are not available for the Friday and Saturday 7pm performances.

This offer is subject to availability. 1 ticket per student ID and the tickets must be bought in person at the Box Office at 434 Lafayette St .

There are a number of other shows your son would like that would be easier to get discount tickets in advance. Look at Stomp and Fuerzabruta. Both are available on discount on broadwaybox.com (left column)
