I miss NYC already.........

Well, our trip to NYC is over. It was FANTASTIC! In the process of preparing my trip report.

The only bad side is that it%26#39;s all over now and we don%26#39;t have another NY trip planned............... YET!

Trip report to follow...

I miss NYC already.........

Can%26#39;t wait for your report.

I miss NYC already.........

I%26#39;m looking forward to reading about your trip, and although you might not have another planned you--and we--know there%26#39;ll be one!

30 days and counting

Cannot wait for your report. Interesting to see what fellow mancunians get up to NYC. Come on United!

That%26#39;s wonderful, I%26#39;m glad you had a great time. And yes, I miss New York, too.

Is there a technical word for that feeling of nostalgia: post-vacation stress, maybe? ;)))

Manicsfan ..... So you%26#39;re %26#39;jonsing%26#39; it for NYC. I have just the prescription my friend;

1.) Go to the tallest building in your Manchester then ride the elevator for twenty minutes while you pretend you%26#39;re in the Empire State Building.

2.) Set up a folding table on the street outside your house and start hawking expensive hand bags and jewelry for ..... ';Five Dolla'; ..... ';Five Dolla';.

3.) Take a %26#39;leak%26#39; between two parked cars just like a genuine New Yorker.

4.) Get yourself a package of hot dogs and then go eat them out on the busiest street in Manchester ..... al fresco !

5.) Start swearing like a drunken sailor.

6.) Take a whiff of the dumpster behind your local %26#39;7 Eleven%26#39; for some of those unforgettable NYC subway odors.

7.) Call up a foreign country and have a local curse you out over the phone ..... just like a typical NYC cab driver.

8.) Get uncomfortably close to the people on a Manchester elevator ..... just to simulate the NYC subway conditions.

9.) Try tipping a waitress in your hometown 20% on the diner bill ..... just the reconnect to that special NYC tourist experience.

10.) Adopt a family of rats, mice and roaches ..... then pretend your living in a NYC apartment.

Hope you feel better now. You can trust me ..... I%26#39;m a doctor.

Lotus LOL very funny, but I have to say I share manics sick addiction. I can%26#39;t wait to come back in September!!!

Love all the replies - especially Lotuspath - SO funny - I love it!

Might give a few of those suggestions a try!

Bring on the next trip so I can experience it all again for real!

Its awful coming home isn%26#39;t it ? Both me and my friend are new york obsessives and are constantly looking up good deals so we can go back !

I love it so much i really wish i could just pack up and move there permanantly !

Me too mystarnyc - I%26#39;d LOVE to move there. I%26#39;m already thinking about when we can afford to go again!

Funny, I was thinking the same thing yesterday, even considered posting. My trip was a month ago, and I have no plans to come back... yet! I thought NYC was something I could just ';do'; and cross off the list, but, nope. I%26#39;ll definitely be back!

I find myself checking this forum every day and feeling envious of those who are planning their trips now. *sigh* Someday it%26#39;ll be me again!

Glad you enjoyed it. Hope to read your TR soon.
