Luxury Link

has anyone used this site to book hotels in NY, they currently have a good offer on the Sherry Netherland Hotel but you have to bid and then if its a good bid you get the rate.

Luxury Link

What is the link your referring to? Thanks!

Luxury Link

I%26#39;ve watched auctions on this site but never bid. They had the Stay AKA properties for a while. Good luck to you if you decide to bid.

the site is a travel site where they do special offers and you can bid but you are bidding for the named hotel and room so , its called Luxury Link.

You might want to try www.skyauctions.com if you haven%26#39;t already discovered that. They have an Affinia property on there all the time.

Have not used it myself but know others that have. Biggest issue normally you are NOT guaranteed availability on dates when you bid/buy. You have to first call the hotel and find out if they have room for that package on the dates you want. Since the package you%26#39;re considering is FOR Xmas, not a problem for you.

TravelingGuy stayed there earlier this year, though and didn%26#39;t like it.

They have a few hotels, RC central park is selling at $795 thats the best price ive seen over xmas , however RC Battery park was more than the RC web site.

Very tempted with the first three nights at RC central park ethen slumming it else where.

Those hotels called AKA never heard of them , they appear to be new hotels , any opinions

Also thanks NYwhizz for quickbook.com they are pretty ok, found the Peninsula the cheapest on this site, still researching the damm hotels.

I recently saw AKA/Korman communities for the first time. They%26#39;re not hotels but apartments that I think may only rent for a minimum of a month at a time. I was looking to see what happened to an old favorite, the Wyndham hotel, where I used to put family on west 58th st. and discovered that AKA had taken it over and it%26#39;s now very fancy.

Have you explored Perfect Escapes.com where I once booked

a rate in another city that the hotel manager didn%26#39;t even know

existed and I was still upgraded.

will try both sites today recommended, I shall get a good rate .lol

I considered the AKA properties because they were apartments, but they didn%26#39;t fit what we needed because they don%26#39;t have sofa beds or doubles in the bedroom. Besides, they were very expensive. They look like they would be incredible if you are lucky enough to win it at a reasonable rate.

At the time I was looking, they were new enough that TA didn%26#39;t have history on them. I don%26#39;t know if that%26#39;s changed.
