Museum Giftshops

We are only in town a short time and planning to go to a Museum on a rainy day if we have one. If we luck out with perfect weather, is there giftshops for the museums located elsewhere where we can still pick up things??? If so, do they carry as much as the regular giftshop at the museums themselves?

The Metropolitan Museum has outposts at Rockefeller Center, the South Street Seaport and the airports, but those are nowhere near as large as at the museum.

If you don%26#39;t have time to look at the museum, you can actually walk into the shop without paying for museum entry. ;)

I noticed that the Metropolitan also has an outlet in Macy%26#39;s where I picked up some last minute gifts.

Or if you%26#39;re coming this way - there is also a store at Sydney Domestic airport (although it doesn%26#39;t feel quite right buying from there - like cheating on souvenirs).
