Professional gay man mid-40's...

Hi folks, I%26#39;m travelling on business to NYC in June for 5 days, and am looking for some nice gay bars/lounges to meet like-minded men my age (in my spare time - if I have any!).

I%26#39;m not into the ';scene'; at all (way to old for that!;-), so clubs and other loud, sweaty places don%26#39;t appeal to me. I have looked through past posts on here but cannot find any topics relating to bars for the more %26#39;mature%26#39; man.

If anyone has any suggestions or ideas, I would be most grateful.

Most of the other magazines and sites cater to the scene you are not into.

The local gay events magazine is HX (www.hx.com), which stands for ';Homo Xtra.'; It%26#39;s definitely geared towards the younger, oiled-up, muscle-man, ';Chelsea Boy'; type, but you may still find some listings in there that could appeal to you.

There is a gay bar across from our apartment-The Ivy Terrace- don%26#39;t really know the name but I did a yelp search and it gave me a few hits in the area, 230 East 58th Street between 2nd %26amp; 3rd:-

We have a balcony overlooking the bar and the clientele looked to be the kind of age group that would suit.
