Current exhibitions at GEH

My husband and I will be coming to Rochester next weekend and interested in viewing the current exhibitions at GEH especially Conscience The Ultimate Weapon, a new interpretation of the 1968 Eastman House exhibition featuring civil rights and Vietnam-era photography. That%26#39;s more than 800 photographs itself, and we also want to check out Larry Towell: The World From My Front Porch, Facing the Other Half (part of Eastman House’s exhibition series Loss/Hope) and Black in America: Eli Reed. Is that too much? If not, what else should we be sure to view?

No comments or tips at all about visiting George Eastman House/photography %26amp; film museum?

no opinions on the specific exhibits but don%26#39;t miss George%26#39;s suicide note. The real one.

That%26#39;s certainly an intriguing comment!

Well... just don%26#39;t forget to check out the gardens and the mansion itself. Both are beautiful.

Touring the house with a knowledgeable docent, visiting the lovely garden and spending time with the exhibitions was all very doable within less than two hours. The interpretation of the 1968 Eastman House exhibition featuring civil rights and Vietnam-era photography was especially moving to us 60-somethings who remember the tumult of that time.
