Hell's Kitchen Flea Market?

Worth a visit?

What kinds of things do they sell there? Furniture, antiques?

Thanks!

Hell's Kitchen Flea Market?

All of the above. I think the one in Chelsea on 25th st. (affiliated) is better.

Hell's Kitchen Flea Market?

We went to this flea market in January and were not very impressed with the quality or the value for money. Mind you, possibly there were not as many stall holders out in winter, although it was a beautiful day. I was hoping for some home made jewellery or good second hand clothes, but it was not to be.

None of these (either Chelsea or Hell%26#39;s Kitchen) are for hand made jewelry or second hand clothes- more antiques/vintage things. For second hand clothes, thrift shops %26amp; vintage clothing stores are the place (Housing Works has a number of locations). For jewelry, the street fairs that will be in various places over the summer, the flea market on Columbus Ave. %26amp; 76 st. and the one in Soho and edgeny.com

Mostly drek...but I guess you can go for the experience.

Canadianmiss ...... I always love a flea market ..... so I%26#39;m perhaps the wrong person to answer your question. I get a rush when I find a little shoe box and it seems someone%26#39;s whole entire life appears to be encapsulated there ...... (high school diploma, pictures, rosary, bottle opener, etc)just frozen in time ..... there for me to discover and decipher. But then again ..... I also like to watch the hot babes that used to stroll the Chelsea market too. Here%26#39;s a recent thread about a brand new market in the parking lot of Loughlin High School in Brooklyn sponsored by the Brownstoner.

It%26#39;s gonna be a beautiful day today ..... maybe the wife will take pity on me and let me take a stroll through the market in Brooklyn ..... haven%26#39;t been there yet. So in answer to your original question. Well if you%26#39;re like me ..... and you really like flea markets ..... ah ..... then they make you happy? And if they make you happy ..... they can%26#39;t be that bad !!!

I%26#39;ve been long, a long way from here

Put on a poncho, played for mosquitos,

And drank til I was thirsty again

We went searching through thrift store jungles

Found Geronimo%26#39;s rifle, Marilyn%26#39;s shampoo

And Benny Goodman%26#39;s corset and pen

Well, o.k. I made this up

I promised you I%26#39;d never give up

If it makes you happy

It can%26#39;t be that bad

If it makes you happy

Then why the hell are you so sad

You get down, real low down

You listen to Coltrane, derail your own train

Well who hasn%26#39;t been there before?

I come round, around the hard way

Bring you comics in bed, scrape the mold off the bread

And serve you french toast again

Well, o.k. I still get stoned

I%26#39;m not the kind of girl you%26#39;d take home

If it makes you happy

It can%26#39;t be that bad

If it makes you happy

Then why the hell are you so sad

We%26#39;ve been far, far away from here

Put on a poncho, played for mosquitos

And everywhere in between

Well, o.k. we get along

So what if right now everything%26#39;s wrong?

Wow, a man who loves shopping...and apparently old music too...lol!

Thanks NYWhiz and LP

I%26#39;ll stroll round as many of those suggestions as I can when I%26#39;m back in the summer (love saying that).

Sheryl Crow old music? Clearly I am getting old.

Thanks for your feedback. Sounds like a fun place to poke around.
