Hi all,
Taking a trip to the US in July. Calling at New York for 4 days. Have an idea of the sights I want to see but could do with some wise words on where to eat close to 70 Park Avenue Hotel. No preference on style, just looking for good value good food.
Thanks in advance for your help

Hi there: We stayed at 70 Park Ave. in January and loved it. I wouldn%26#39;t have breakfast there unless it was included in your rate.
There%26#39;s good Italian food across the street at Rossini%26#39;s. We had great food there; you can eat at the bar if you%26#39;d prefer.
Also, the hotel is near Grand Central Terminal and Pershing Square restaurant. We had a good lunch here and really enjoyed the place. Of course there are restaurants in GCT; everything from champagne and oysters to cheesecake! Enjoy!

You%26#39;re not far from Grand Central terminal and there are plenty of restaurants inside from relatively inexpensive (Junior%26#39;s famous for cheesecake) to nicer like Metrazur. Here%26#39;s one of many previous threads on dining near Grand Central

Some other thoughts... El Rio Grande is a Mexican on 38th st. b/w Lexington %26amp; 3rd (it%26#39;s on the lobby level of an apartment building). They have a large outdoor terrace which is nice in good weather.

Mishima (Lexington 30-31) is very good Japanese/sushi and not expensive.
Artisinal is a French brasserie not far, very good. Good brunch and some prix fixe menus.
Asia de Cuba is a trendy Asian inside Morgans hotel (not far on Madison ave.) and is good for drinks/appetizers but gets very crowded after work.
