Any suggestions for a ';happy hour'; bar for Friday evening that%26#39;s reasonable. Yeah, I know it%26#39;s NYC, but I want to have some $$$ left for dinner!

There%26#39;s a lot of places that are reasonable in NYC - but not in Midtown.

What%26#39;s your poison of choice? You looking for beer, wine or cocktails? There%26#39;s a grand tradition of dive bars in New york, mostly downtown. Also many Irish pubs can be cheap-ish. It really depends on what you%26#39;re looking for.

If you know where to go there are bars in NYC where I can guarantee you you will drink cheaper than at home, but as JAWP said midtown (unless you go to a place like Rudy%26#39;s in Hell%26#39;s Kitchen) really isn%26#39;t the place.
