Has anyone seen this for real yet?
Brooklyn to London Telescope / tunnelThat is very cool!
Brooklyn to London Telescope / tunnelI was there today, it is very real and very cool.
This looks so cool! Can you tell me a bit about your experience, NYCgirl? Was it crowded?
There was a sort line, we waited about 5 minutes, they have message boards that you can fill out for our friends across the pond. It was great seeing people in London, behind the Tower Bridge, waving to us near the Brooklyn Bridge. It was a lot of fun.
I went to the Tower Bridge end of the telectroscope on Friday. It was about 10pm London time, so it was dark in London and still daylight in Brooklyn, which was fun. It%26#39;s good.
Full details of the history of the telectroscope and the amazing tunnel started by visionary engineer Alexander Stanhope St George are here www.tiscali.co.uk/telectroscope/home.php
I ended up going today (to the Brooklyn end) and found it to be very cool. Line was about 6-8 minutes and then you get a minute or so at the telescope. It%26#39;s fun to see the people in London and we were able to communicate by writing short messages on white boards that were provided at the front of the line. You can see the Tower Bridge on the London side. There%26#39;s no fee or anything and it%26#39;s there until June 15 so I%26#39;d recommend stopping by at some point - very cool!
