Getting engaged in NYC

So I know others have written about this topic already but I was hoping that I could squeeze out some more ideas

Mid June I will be staying in Union Square for the weekend and plan on getting engaged. I already have reservations at Babbo Saturday night and a reservation for brunch at the Cookshop on Sunday afternoon before we head back home.

Ill probably get to NYC by 3ish on Friday and want to pop the question that evening to get it out of the way... assuming good weather.. Im thinking Central Park before dinner.. or perhaps the Top of the Rock.. for sunset.. or maybe the rainbow room. So maybe a good 2-3 places in Central Park would help... and a good place near union square to get drinks late night to celebrate Friday night or Sat after Babbo (though we might be too full to move)

I figure shopping and lunch on Saturday.. Heli tours are too expensive.. limo tours get boring... any good creative adeas out there? Ideas/Advice would be awesome.. Im pretty excited and want everything to be perfect.

Both North Square in the Washington Square hotel and the Bar Next Door (at La Lanterna) have live jazz and are down the block from Babbo.
