I think it is on steroids. Is this doable? I%26#39;m travelling with my in-laws, husband and 1 year old son. We are staying at the Shelburne Murray Hill. Please let me know your suggestions:
Saturday - Arrival in evening. Visit Top of the Rock at Sunset to get our bearings.
Sunday - Church at St. John the Divine then a quick subway ride to Yankee Stadium for the game.
Monday - Booked tickets through Statuecruises for the 9:00 ferry to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Get back to Manhattan in time for late lunch. Then explore the Freedom Tower site/ Wall Street/ Tenement Museum/ TriBeCa/ Chinatown. Dinner is reserved for all 7 of us at Carmines. I realize this is a full day, we may move some of the afternoon sights to another day.
Tuesday - Tour midtown including Grand Central Terminal/ Chrysler Building/ UN/ St Patricks Cathedral/ NY Public Library/ 5th Ave/ Carnegie Hall/ Radio City Music Hall. Shake Shack for lunch. Phantom of the Opera at 7. Times Square at night. No dinner plans.
Wednesday - Brunch at Thalia%26#39;s. Central Park, central park zoo.
Thursday - Explore Upper East side including Madison Ave. That night we have dinner at db Bistro and tickets to Wicked.
Friday - Museum day. Start at Museum of Natural History. Eat lunch and explore then go to MoMA for free Friday nights. No dinner plans.
Saturday - Czech day! My husband and his family have a Czech heritage, so I think we will head to Astoria and visit the Beer Garden and Zlata Praha for dinner.
Sunday - Visit all the things we meant to get to but missed. Departure around 6pm.
Did I miss anything?
Please help my itinerary...
Greenwich Village is my favorite area.....it%26#39;s not on the list. :o) I think your schedule is doable.
Please help my itinerary...
Sunday: Yes.
Monday: Maybe. The SOL takes a long time, so don%26#39;t count on being back on Manhattan until the afternoon. By ';Freedom Tower'; I assume you mean the World Trade Center site? The Freedom Tower, if it even gets built, is years and years away.
Tuesday: Shake Shack is not close to anything else on this day. You%26#39;ll have to leave the general area of all of those things, come down to Madison Square Park, then go back up to keep visiting them.
Wednesday: Yes.
Thursday: Yes, but what are you planning on seeing? The UES is very residential. Either this day or Wednesday you should go to the Met: www.metmuseum.org
Friday: Yes
Saturday: Yes
';Did I miss anything?';
Are you planning to sleep?
Monday and Tuesday both look way overbooked, IMO. For me, Monday would be a full day with SOL, Ellis Island and the Tenement Museum, but you must have more energy than me!
Tuesday looks really busy, too. You%26#39;re planning to do all that before lunch? Are you aware that you could be standing in line at the Shake Shack for at least twenty or thirty minutes?
My main concern would be the baby. Has he just turned one, or is he closer to two? Either way, I would consider him in the schedule (and your taking care of him, too). A stroller in mid-town Manhattan is not always the most welcome thing, and the sidewalks aren%26#39;t always so accommodating when it comes to pushing the darn thing around. Have you planned any breaks to go back to the hotel so he can have a nap, or were you planning on him napping in his stroller? I just worry about the little guy, I guess.
I%26#39;ve always been of the school of thought that you can%26#39;t see everything in New York in a week, so why try? The things I%26#39;ve found most enjoyable have been just walking around and seeing what there is to see. Take your time; hopefully, you%26#39;ll be back. Next time, see something you didn%26#39;t get to see this time. My first visit to New York was almost thirty years ago, and I still haven%26#39;t made it to the Empire State Building...
So, to answer your original question, yes, I think it is on steroids. On Monday and Tuesday especially, cut back to something that doesn%26#39;t exhaust you by just looking at the day.
Monday looks overbooked to me, and I%26#39;m definately a kamikaze tourist. I%26#39;d probably try to do the SOL/Ellis Island, WTC Site, Wall St., and Tribeca on this day, and save Chinatown and the Tenement Museum for another day.
Tuesday doesn%26#39;t seem terrbile, except for the Shake Shack situation.
Thursday, there%26#39;s not a whole lot on the UES to explore - a lot of it is residential. The UWS is more interesting, IMO, with shops and cafe%26#39;s.
My 1 yo would definately konk out in the stroller when she was ready, so if you think your sone would do the same, I think you%26#39;ll be fine!
OK, here is the revised version. The baby should be just fine konking out in the stroller. :) I%26#39;m going to be flexible with this. I really just wanted to list all of the attractions in the area, not all are must do%26#39;s. I forot that we really want to walk the Brooklyn bridge.

Okay, this revised itinerary looks much more doable with a baby!
If you can fit it in, Perilla in the Village is awesome. They serve brunch on the weekends!
My only concern would be Times Square at night with a stroller... My husband and I could barely walk through, let alone consider pushing a stroller!
Just some food for thought!
