There are hundreds of restaurants in the Theater District - what type of cuisine are you looking for, budget? I presume you are going to a production at the Neil Simon theater - but that shouldn%26#39;t restrict you to that area - we just stopped at Rosie Grady%26#39;s 52nd and 7th Avenue for lunch last week - quite an extensive menu, nice spot, attentive service and, for NY, reasonably priced, IMO.

Check menupages.com for other options, and don%26#39;t be afraid to get out of midtown for other meals!

I did see Caffe Cielo and ViceVersa Restaurants on menupages.com. I will check into the one you mentioned. I have a group walking for a meeting to the show with not much time in between for dinner - so was looking for something close that locals also recommend.

I often suggest Becco (www.becco-nyc.com)on 46th between 8th and 9th.

Both Becco and Vice Versa are excellent suggestions and are among the best restaurants in the theatre area along with DB bistro, District and a few others....however, depending on the size of your group, you will need at least one and a half hours for your dinner and then some time to walk to the theatre...the larger the group, the longer it takes to eat...figure two hours if you are six or more...if you don%26#39;t have enough time to do this, you might want to consider having appetizers and drinks at a pub that night and then go to a place after theatre for another light bite or dessert
