Found a great deal on this hotel. Has anyone been?
Any info is greatly appreciated.
6 Columbus? Has anyone stayed here??
I stayed there twice in the last few months, once in January and once in March. I stayed first in the pod room and then in the Queen superior. If you are a couple, you will probably find the pod room a bit small. It all depends how much time you spend in your room.
The service there is excellent. The last time I was there I arrived at 10 in the morning and they checked me in right away. I did not have to wait until 3 in the afternoon so it was nice to have the room right away. The doormen and the concierge are very nice. I stopped in a couple of times at Blue Ribbon, the restaurant, and I was always treated nicely and offered a drink also. It is a strong 3 1/2 stars. The location can%26#39;t be beat. I would go back anytime.

I think it would be great for you for just 2 nights, but your friends would probably find the pod room too small for 8 nights. Consider booking them a larger room if you decide on this. It is a great location, newish trendy hotel.
Thanks Cric and Whiz.
Whiz,
If it were between the Courtyard Mariott Midtown East and 6 Columbus Circle...which would you choose?
Glad you%26#39;re up early this AM!
Thanks,
Kim
Cricri,
Was the rooftop lounge open yet??
Tough call. Courtyard Midtown East is a safe choice (meaning no risk involved) big rooms, clean very ';American'; nearish Bloomingdales. 6 Columbus is TRENDY/hip, more upscale NYC nearer Central Park and Time Warner building. Small rooms. Depends on your taste and your friends. Some people would not appreciate 6 Columbus.
I went in March and the rooftop lounge was not yet opened. You should email or call the hotel directly to find out. It was supposed to open this summer.
