Hi,
I will be in NYC late June and I have some more questions about Theater District:
1. Where to have a good breakfast and what is the normal price for breakfast ?
2. And for dinner ?
3. To find good prices for musical at night, I should go to TKTS after lunch or in the morning ?
4. Best hour to have small queues at Empire State Building ?
5. Is Hotel Milford Plaza so bad as people say in reviews ?
See you
Theater District
Your query is quite general:
Have you checked:FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions for NYC
1. breakfast can consist of a roll/bagel/doughnut and coffee or eggs/meat/potatoes....there are many coffee shops/diners in Manhattan what I do is ask at the hotel where employees go for breakfast - sometimes breakfast of some sort is included with the room - normal price for breakfast - depends what you get - you can go to a coffee shop in the City and have breakfast for $3-5 dollars or at an upscale place for a LOT more.
2. There are literally 20,000 restaurants in NYC - what type of food, how much do you wish to spend, what location?
3. TKTS is one way to go - I now use broadwaybox.com and order tickets online and pick them up at the theater or you can print e-tickets
4. Early in the day by some reccos - but it is a crap shoot - each day is different
See you, too.
5. as mentioned in another thread Milford Plaza is known locally as the ';Mildew Palace';

Thank you for your answers, but I think you missed my questions weren%26#39;t about all nyc, but just Theater District. I am looking for places to have breakfast and dinner at Theater District.
If I have not get lost in translation, Milford Plaza is so smelly and bad place ??
Check on www.menupages.com for locations in the Theater District.
And checking the FAQ%26#39;s is still a good idea as would checking the restaurant listing under the search function on the left of this Forum.
And yes, the Milford Plaza is not a pleasant place...........
OK in the theater district there are only about 500 resturants, so a bit more info will still help
TKTS times square opens at 3PM for evening tickets. (it is the one at south street that opens at 11 AM)
An inexpensive breakfast should cost less than $10, Dinner at a nice resturant about $50 + the cost of dirnks, but can cost as little as $20+.
More information.
I am looking for places for breakfast and dinner between the 42nd and 46th street and 8th avenue.
I prefer budget places, and when possible burgers, mexican or italian.
Like Al says: OK in the theater district there are only about 500 restaurants......
Take your pick!
You will be amazed by the number of restaurants in the TD - impossible to recco just one and what you fancy would be no problem an any street.
Here%26#39;s the page on Theater District dining from the FAQ. There are many suggestions at all price ranges:

Shake Shack in Madison Square Park and the Burger Joint in the Parker Meridien hotel (nearer Central Park) are famous ';go to'; places for burgers.
8th ave %26amp; 9th ave. in the 40%26#39;s-50%26#39;s has all different restaurants, mostly good prices. If you like Japanese, Kodama is a basic but good neighborhood place. For Italian, Basilica, John%26#39;s pizzeria (but they only sell whole pies), Maria Pia.
You MUST get out of Times Square some and eat in other areas. Here%26#39;s a link to the FAQ with a whole section on restaurants.

%26gt;%26gt; am looking for places for breakfast and dinner between the 42nd and 46th street and 8th avenue.%26lt;%26lt;
WHY are you limiting yourself to this area?
While you are on 8th, where there are some interesting pubs, head over to 9th Avenue, one of my fav%26#39;s is Pietrasantra, corner of 9th and 47th - or Rachael%26#39;s Bistro down around 43rd.
whiz is correct - GET OUT of the TS area, there is so much available just a few blocks away.

Seriously, unless you are going to be here for only 1 hour, you should really venture out of the Theater District. Furthermore, the closer you are to this area, the more expensive the places to eat get. You should try to see around lunch time where the ';locals'; (people working in offices, etc.) eat and then try those. Locals tend to stay away from tourist traps, which I believe many of these restaurants are.
